From Longshot to Champion: Jay Card III Breaks Through in Ecuador
After a wild weekend at Quito Tenis y Golf Club in Ecuador, Card fired a final-round 1-under 71 to secure his first professional win at the KIA Open. His journey to the trophy wasn’t easy. After lighting it up with a bogey-free 9-under 63 in the second round to take the lead, Card stumbled a bit early on Sunday, posting a 2-over 38 on the front nine. But true to form, he battled back with a gritty, bogey-free 3-under 33 on the back to claw his way back to the top and capture a one-stroke victory.
